Spatial Experience
The interiors of Kaluve House are shaped around the family’s everyday patterns, allowing spaces to flow into one another while remaining clearly legible. The layout supports a contemporary lifestyle while retaining a sense of warmth and familiarity drawn from traditional living environments.
Material & Colour Palette
A calm and restrained palette defines the interiors. Wood veneer furniture is used extensively across spaces, lending continuity and warmth. The kitchen is finished in a soft light green, chosen to bring freshness and a gentle contrast to the wood tones without overpowering the space.
Bathrooms introduce a distinct yet harmonious character through the use of blue tiles, paired with louvered furniture that recalls traditional detailing while remaining practical for humid environments.
Light, Surfaces & Display
Natural light is carefully harnessed to enhance textures and materials rather than rely on surface ornamentation. Wall surfaces and built-in shelves are thoughtfully designed to display the family’s collected art and artefacts, allowing these personal elements to animate the interiors and become an integral part of the living spaces.
